Message from the Director:

Welcome to the Radnor Educational Foundation! I am thrilled to be part of an organization of committed parent and community volunteers who are pursuing a vision of academic excellence in a place renowned for superior education. I am a proud graduate of a Midwestern public high school who went on to pursue and achieve her dreams, and I know that is what families who enroll their students in Radnor Township public schools want for their own children.

The Foundation is tremendously fortunate to have a committed and hardworking Executive Committee and Board of Directors, but for us to be successful, we need the families, small business and corporations of Radnor Township to rally around our mission. Since our founding in 1994, we’ve awarded more than $1,000,000 in grant support to our schools, but as recently enacted state laws and economic forces restrict our school board’s ability to expand our budget, the Foundation’s work has become more critical than ever. We envision making sustaining commitments to our schools and students to provide for the kinds of cultural, technological, and social and emotional mindfulness programming that mean the difference between a common and an exemplary education, for all the children in our district.

How can you be a part of pursuing this vision? Talk to a board member about joining a committee, contact your child’s teacher or principal when you learn about exciting initiatives being implemented by other schools, host or attend a fundraising party or the annual gala, and donate to the annual fund – or just donate now on our website. Yes, we all have limited resources, and as you prioritize your giving, I hope you believe like I do that the Radnor of the future depends on providing for the academic, social, and emotional needs of our children today.
