The REF Educator Impact Award is an annual recognition for a staff member at Radnor High School (RHS) who shows up for students, not just with lessons and tests, but with kindness, support, and heart. The award celebrates the same values that former RHS principal Mark Schellenger held in the role. REF proudly bestows the award on an educator who is nominated by students, staff, parents, and other administrators, requesting evidence of these values in their work as well as school and community involvement.
This year’s award goes to Alicia Alfonso, who is also r
etiring this year from RHS. Ms. Alfonso received a number of heartfelt testimonials and embodies the clear evidence of the difference she has made every day in the lives of our RHS students.
Ms. Alfonso was presented the award at an all-school assembly on Friday, May 23, 2025 and will also be allotted $500 to earmark towards any RHS student group, club, or activity.
We congratulate Alicia Alfonso on being this year’s award recipient.
