THANK YOU seems not enough for outgoing president Candyce Wilson!
Candyce Wilson will complete her three year tenure as President on June 30. Candyce began her volunteer service with REF as a member of the grants committee when her two sons were students at Wayne Elementary School, and later served as the committee chair. She also chaired REF’s annual gala.
Under Candyce’s guidance, REF has more fully realized its mission to enrich the educational experience and encourage innovative opportunities for RTSD students. REF has granted funds in a wide range of new areas, including social and emotional wellness, digital and distance learning, environmental sustainability, and a recently launched community internship program for Radnor High School students.
Thanks to Candyce’s leadership, REF increased fundraising, granting in excess of $100,000 in the first year of her presidency, an over fifty percent increase over the previous year. REF has continued to grant over $100,000 annually for the past three years, a significant achievement for a foundation serving a district of Radnor’s size. Candyce will continue to serve on the REF board in 2015-16 as past president. Current treasurer Gretchen Anderson will be REF’s next President.
