Kara Cleffi has been a science teacher for 23 years. She began her teaching career at Newton Country Day school of the Sacred Heart in Newton, Massachusetts. After moving to the Philadelphia area, she taught courses at Holy Family College and Delaware County Community College.

She has been teaching at the Haverford School since 2001. Kara currently teaches Advanced Biology, Human Physiology, and a Biotechnology and Molecular Biology Course as well as leads the science laboratory research program. Kara graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Bucknell University with a B.S. in Biology and earned a Master’s Degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from Brandeis University. Kara has been a member of the Radnor community since 2010.

She resides in Bryn Mawr with her husband Jim, her son who is a seventh grader at RMS, and her daughter who is in fourth grade at RES.
